Frequently asked questions
Which goggle lens tint should I choose?
Lenses are rated by VLT, the percentage of light they let through. Low-VLT (darker) lenses suit sunny days, high-VLT (lighter) lenses suit cloudy, flat-light and night skiing. Many Midwest skiers ski under lights, so a high-VLT or a spare lens is worth having. Interchangeable-lens goggles let you swap as conditions change.
Cylindrical or spherical lenses?
Cylindrical lenses are flat vertically and curved side to side; they're classic and often cost less. Spherical lenses curve both ways for a wider field of view and less distortion. Both work well, so pick the fit and look you like.
Can I wear goggles over glasses?
Yes, with an over-the-glasses (OTG) frame, which has extra room and notches for your temples. Standard goggles usually press on glasses. Check each product's fit notes, or ask us before you buy.
How do I keep my goggles from fogging?
Keep them on your face or helmet rather than your forehead, where heat and sweat rise into the lens. Don't wipe the inside of the lens, since that damages the anti-fog coating. Let them dry fully between days, and pair them with a helmet that vents into the goggle.
