Oakley ski goggles and helmets guide: Flight Deck, Line Miner and MOD

Oakley Flight Deck goggles

The Flight Deck is built to maximize your field of view and to work with a wide range of helmets, using outrigger mounts that spread pressure evenly across the frame. Oakley's Ridge Lock system makes lens changes quick while keeping a complete lens seal, and notches at the temples make room for most prescription eyewear.

Oakley Line Miner and Line Miner Pro

The Line Miner uses a cylindrical lens pulled in close to your face for wide downward and side-to-side vision, and it's engineered to fit most helmets. The Line Miner Pro adds a quick lens swap, with Prizm Snow and HDO optics. The Fall Line, also in the Line series, blends the Line Miner's cylindrical style with the wide view of a rimless goggle.

Oakley Flight Path and Flight Tracker

The Flight Path was developed with Super-G World Champion Aleksander Kilde, and its Ridge Lock EV lens gives more upward visibility when you're in an aggressive skiing stance. The Flight Tracker is Oakley's oversized full-rim goggle with a toric lens and a wide field of view in every direction.

Oakley Target Line: over-the-glasses goggles

The Target Line is over-the-glasses compatible, with notches at the temples for your frames. It pairs a jumbo cylindrical lens with a low-profile frame, and the flattened brow line is designed to sit cleanly under Oakley helmets.

Oakley Prizm goggle lenses

Prizm lenses are engineered to boost contrast across a variety of light and snow conditions, and Oakley's High Definition Optics (HDO) give truer, more accurate vision. Oakley's goggle lenses use an F3 anti-fog coating and Plutonite lens material, which blocks 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC.

Oakley MOD 1, MOD 3 and MOD 5 MIPS helmets

Every Oakley ski helmet we carry includes MIPS. The MOD 1 is a lightweight, low-profile helmet, and the MOD 1 Pro adds a rugged Dura-Matter shell and adjustable ventilation. The MOD 3 uses In-Mold construction, a BOA 360 fit system and a Fidlock magnetic buckle, the MOD 5 adds a modular brim for goggle integration, and the MOD BC is built for alpine touring.

Frequently asked questions

What size Oakley goggles should I get?
Choose by face size. Most of the Oakley goggles we carry come in M (medium) and L (large) fits, the Flight Path comes in L, and the O Frame 2.0 Pro comes in a small size for youth and smaller faces. If you can, try goggles on with your own helmet at our Levis Commons store.
Are Oakley goggles good?
Yes. Oakley goggles pair Prizm lenses for better contrast with High Definition Optics, an F3 anti-fog coating and Plutonite lenses that block 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC, and Oakley lenses meet ANSI Z87.1 and EN 166 impact standards.
How do you change lenses on Oakley goggles?
Goggles with Oakley's Ridge Lock system, like the Flight Deck and Fall Line, and the Flight Path with Ridge Lock EV, are designed for quick, easy lens changes that still seal completely. Follow the instructions that come with your goggle, and hold lenses by the edges so you don't smudge the anti-fog inner surface.
Do Oakley goggles fit Smith or Giro helmets?
Usually, yes. The Line Miner, Fall Line and Flight Tracker are engineered to fit most helmets, and the Flight Deck's outrigger mounts are designed to work with a wide range of helmet styles. Fit varies by brand and size, so it's best to try the goggle and helmet together.
Can you wear Oakley goggles over glasses?
Yes. The Target Line is over-the-glasses compatible, and the Flight Deck, Line Miner and Fall Line have discreet notches at the temples that fit most prescription eyewear.
Oakley MOD 1 vs MOD 1 Pro: what's the difference?
Both are low-profile MIPS helmets. The MOD 1 Pro adds a tougher Dura-Matter shell, adjustable ventilation and a moisture-wicking liner, while the MOD 1 is the simpler, lightweight option with an adjustable fit system.
Oakley MOD 3 vs MOD 5: which should I get?
Pick the MOD 3 for easy fit and convenience: it has a BOA 360 dial, a glove-friendly Fidlock magnetic buckle and a removable, washable Polartec liner, at 510g in size M. Pick the MOD 5 if you want its modular brim system, which is built to integrate with your goggles and cut fogging. Both have MIPS and adjustable vents.
Where can I buy Oakley goggles near Toledo?
Many Oakley goggles, including the Target Line, Line Miner, Flight Deck and Flight Tracker, are in stock at our Levis Commons store at 4170 Levis Commons Blvd in Perrysburg, Ohio, along with some MOD helmets. Orders also ship free over $69 in the contiguous US.
