How to choose a snowboard bag

Length

Choose a bag longer than your board. Bag lengths are listed in centimeters, the same as board length, and wide or long boards need a bag sized for them.

Sleeve or wheeled bag

A padded sleeve, like the Burton Space Sack or Dakine Tour Bag, is light and easy for car trips. For flights, a wheeled bag like the Burton Wheelie Gig or Dakine Low Roller adds protection and rolls through the airport.

Bindings on or off

Most riders travel with bindings mounted. Turn them inward or pad around them with outerwear so they don't press on the bag.

Extra room

Bigger wheeled bags have room for boots, a helmet and outerwear. Check your airline's size and weight limits before you pack.
