Frequently asked questions

What size snowboard do I need?
Start with your weight using the brand's size chart on each product page, since weight matters more than height. As a rough check, most all-mountain boards land between your chin and nose when stood on end. Go a little shorter for park riding and easier turning, a little longer for speed and powder.
Do I need a wide snowboard?
If your boots hang too far over the edges, your toes and heels can drag in turns. Riders in roughly US men's size 11 and up should look at wide boards, listed as 'cm Wide' in the Length filter. Check the waist width on the product page against your boot size.
Camber, rocker or flat: which profile should I get?
Camber boards have a slight arch underfoot for edge hold, pop and stability at speed. Rocker boards curve up at the ends, so they turn easily and catch fewer edges, which helps beginners and powder. Flat and hybrid profiles mix the two. If you're learning, a hybrid or flat profile is the most forgiving.
What's a good snowboard for beginners?
Look for a softer flex, a twin or near-twin shape, and a rocker, flat or hybrid profile. Those features make turning easier and edges less grabby. You'll progress faster on a forgiving board than on an aggressive one you'll grow into.
