Melin hat guide: shapes, collections and fit
Odysea
Melin's trucker-inspired shape, with a slightly taller crown and a more progressive fit. It comes as the Odysea Stacked, the Odysea Rope with a rope across the visor, and the Packable, which crushes into a bag and springs back into shape.
A-Game
A classic 6-panel cap with a slightly lower-profile crown and a curved visor. It's the cleanest everyday Melin and a favorite on the golf course.
Trenches and Coronado
Flat-bill shapes. Melin calls the Trenches its deepest-fitting hat. The Coronado Brick and Coronado Anchored add a retro rope across a flat brim.
HYDRO
Melin's water collection. A hydrophobic exterior beads water away, the visor core floats if the hat goes in the water, and a moisture-wicking lining and antimicrobial sweatband handle sweat. Most HYDRO hats are $78.95.
HYDROlite
The lightest Melin hats, with bonded seams and low-profile gel-welded logos, at $98.95. They come in the Odysea, Coronado, Trenches and A-Game shapes.
THERMAL
Cold-weather Melin hats: insulated Infinite caps, waxed canvas and waxed ripstop MAC Nomad styles, and the Lifty with fold-down ear flaps.
Fit
Melin hats are sized, not one-size. By Melin's chart, Classic measures 58 cm and XL measures 60 cm around the head. Measure just above your ears; if you land between sizes or usually find caps tight, go XL.
