K2 ski boots and skis guide: BFC and Mindbender
K2 BFC ski boots
BFC stands for Built For Comfort. The BFC 100 BOA uses K2's MultiFit last (97–104mm), which adapts to a wide variety of foot shapes, plus a heat-moldable CushFit Plus liner and GripWalk soles. The BFC 80 has a roomy, heat-moldable last for wider, higher-volume feet.
Choosing a K2 BFC flex
Flex is how stiff the boot is. The BFC 75 and 80 are soft and forgiving for beginner-to-intermediate skiers, the women's BFC 85 balances comfort and control for intermediates, and the BFC 90 and 100 add support as you progress.
Women's K2 ski boots
The BFC 75 W and BFC 85 W have a women's-specific, heat-moldable last.
K2 Mindbender skis
The Mindbender 85 is light and forgiving for beginner-to-intermediate skiers breaking out beyond the groomers, with an Aspen Veneer Core and All-Terrain Rocker. The Mindbender 90 adds Spectral Braid for stability without the weight of a full metal laminate. Both come with Quikclik bindings. The Mindbender 96 has a titanal laminate and camber underfoot with rockered tip and tail, and is sold flat.
K2 ski boot sizing
K2 boots are sized in mondopoint, your foot length in centimeters. Because BFC boots are built roomy and heat-moldable, a fitting is the best way to pick the right size and flex.
